How do you get massively motivated? How do you achieve in life what you deserve? How do you overcome fear and doubts that keep you from succeeding?
When it comes to creating massive motivation, there’s a simple process to use, but the process is very similar to a diet- it only works if you put in the effort. If you don’t really want to lose weight, then no diet is going to work for you. Health, wellness and weight loss will only come if you commit to a lifestyle change. Success and motivation are quite similar- you can’t just want to make a lot of money. You’ve got to have a “why” or a reason for wanting to achieve what you want. You need something that’s going to get you out of bed in the morning day after day. Something that gets you fired up and ready to tackle any challenge that comes your way!
Below I outline what keeps me going and how you too can generate massive amounts of motivation for yourself, your business and the people around you.
GREAT THINGS DON’T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT:
If you want success, then you need to realise that great things don’t happen overnight. We live in a world where instant gratification is the norm, but you can’t look at where you want to go and get there in a day!
What you need to do is break your big goal down into smaller goals. Then give yourself a timeframe to achieve each small goal, until step-by-step you work your way up the ladder. If for example, you accomplish something every month, your confidence will grow, and that confidence will enable you to gain the belief that you can indeed take another step forward. Before you know it, your focus will be better than ever and you’ll be taking more significant steps and achieving more and more each month.
The most important thing that you need to realise is that you can’t just have what you want tomorrow. A big goal might take you three years or more to achieve. For example, it’s taken my business partner and I six years to grow The Blue Sky Thinking Group into a business worth $100 Million! We always knew that it would take time to get to where we are now, but we had a strategy in place, and we deployed that strategy to get to where we wanted to go.
With a proper structure in place, you’ll find that everything becomes possible.
WHAT IS YOUR WHY:
If you want to stay motivated and keep on making progress, then you have to have a “why”. As I stated above, your reason for wanting to be successful can’t just be because you want to make a lot of money. That reason is not sustainable. Instead, ask yourself why you want to make a lot of money? And what is that money going to provide you with? If it’s going to provide you with new clothes and fancy cars, then that isn’t a powerful enough driver to keep you going.
There has to be a deeper reason. You have to want to fix something, change something or make something better. If for example, you wanted to make money so that you can put your children through University and ensure that they have the best possible future you can give them, then this reason will keep you going. It’s far more powerful than some material wants or need.
What is your purpose? Take the time to think about your “why” and then list down all the reasons why you need what you want.
GET UP EARLY AND EXERCISE EVERY DAY:
As an active person, I can honestly say that if I didn’t exercise every day, I would be a truly miserable person. For me, exercise has always gone hand in hand with motivation. If you exercise first thing in the morning, you’ll have a clear mind, and a whole lot of endorphins, to help you tackle your day.
When you exercise, you get your blood flowing, and this, in turn, wakes you up- allowing you to be more alert and ready to take on the day. If you don’t like exercise, then start by going for a 15-minute walk. Then the next day, try to walk for 20 minutes. The point is to get yourself in motion!
If you implement my above tips and are committed to taking the necessary steps to get to where you need to go, you’ll see your motivation levels soar, your focus sharpen and your dreams materialise before you know it.
